Merry Christmas everyone! What an eventful few days, with a few more parties yet to go. The girls enjoyed seeing all the presents from Mommy and Daddy, and from Santa. Here are a few pics (picture overload, I know)...
Kaylee with her neighbor friend Macie...
The last night with us and the Elf on the Shelf, whew! :)
Days and nights have been busy lately, must be Christmas time. Just realized I haven't posted for quite some time on here. Makenna had her 1-year photo shoot a few weeks back. She wasn't in the mood for big smiles, but we'll blame that on Mom and Dad as we kinda forgot to give her a snack after she woke up, :) Anyways, here are a few we would like to share...
Kaylee had tubes put in this morning (just one), and we just got home, yay! It was a quick chain of events. She has had an ear infection for a while, so we wanted her 6-month checkup bumped up so her ENT doctor could see if anything was serious. So we went in Tuesday for her checkup and he recommend a tube again in her good ear and wanted to do it today (Thursday). She handled it pretty good. The doc was able to see better in her bad ear this time since she has grown, so he was able to see more of what parts were missing. She does not have a middle ear cleft bone, so basically that means there is no air gap where a tube can fit into between her top and bottom inner bones. She probably will never get ear infections in that ear since fluid can't pass through with no air gap. So I guess that is a good thing, right? Back in a month for more hearing tests. Poor girl.
Her normal left ear had a ton of fluid in it so when he made the incision to put the tube in, he said the fluid gushed out. Maybe that would explain why she has been up in the middle of the night so many times crying for the past few weeks. Anyways, we are thankful that is over with and her ears should start feeling a little better. She's been in such a great mood since we got home, so she must be feeling better. And she can hear 10x better now that her ears are without fluid in them, which makes Mom and Dad happy.
And here are some latest videos of the girls. Makenna is walking really good now and it's quite fun to watch. It seemed like it all just happened so fast.
It was black and white day at daycare yesterday, in case you were wondering, :)
...is growing up fast! Makenna is starting to take more and more steps each day. 10 steps the other day at daycare. She should be walking in no time. I guess that is a good thing, right? :) And no more duckie for baths. She can use the big tub and eventually take a bath with her big sister! That'll be quite interesting and fun to see. And on another positive note, Kelly is done pumping, ha. Hey I had to share all the good news right? Makenna is weaning off the bottle, and onto regular milk in a sippy cup. Seems like so many changes at once but she is handling it all great. And the best thing is, Dad doesn't have to feed Makenna the bottle after work when it's most craziest. But maybe I should be sad about that since it might be the last go around with a baby in our family. Oh and no more washing of all the bottles from daycare after work either. Man this is great!
She loves to dance like her sister. Tried to get one on video of her, but only got a few secs of it. Pretty cute nonetheless....
Makenna had her 1-year checkup yesterday, along with a whopping 5 shots. And yes, daycare called today and required her to be picked up with a high fever and just not feeling herself, :( (Ohhh those lovely daycares)
Makenna turns 1 today, yay!!! She had a fun birthday party this past weekend with all of her relatives, and then a small party tonight with just her Mommy, Daddy, and Big Sister. Here are some pics and videos:
Nice expression, eh? She wasn't too sure of that hat!
