Yay! My foot surgery is over and it went much better than expected (so far at least). Just had my checkup this morning and everything looks good, even if my foot barely looks alive, ha. I was told I get the stitches out next week, sweet. Pain is very minimal and don't need crutches walking around the house. So a pretty sweet deal, even though I still make supper, :(
Post-op x-ray... (see that lovely screw and the bone cut?)
5-day post-op checkup. Had to snap a picture. First time I saw my foot since surgery. I missed it so much!
We were able to visit our friends Brian and Rhonda this past weekend and enjoy some time with them and their two kiddos Ava and Bodin. Kaylee loved playing with her friend Ava, while Makenna and Bodin just hung out, :) (their time will come soon enough). And to top it all, we got to see their new gorgeous house. What a beautiful thing that was to say the least. Nice work guys! Here are a few pictures and a video of Kaylee and Ava being goofy...
Shirts/Pants? Who needs those when you are 3!?
Hey, there's Makenna with Bullock! She loved that dog!
A little movie time together...
Bodin Bangtson (2 months)... Such a handsome fella!
Makenna (10 months) with a giant hammer that she loved whipping around...
Kelly and Rhonda with their girls making the girls own mini pizza. Perfect idea.
When we got home, we asked Kaylee what her favorite part of the vacation was. She said "the chocolate ice cream cone!"
Pretty cute picture of the girls walking through the woods. What a nice extended play area.
We're so happy to see Makenna finally enjoying table food. She's been doing great at home and daycare the past few weeks. She wasn't too interested in table food for quite a while but she is finally realizing the goodness of it! :) Here are a few pics and a video of our darlings...
Kaylee helping out! And probably stealing a few bites...
And I couldn't leave out pictures of her crawling and standing under her favorite place, the table!
Even though her head is cut off, I still love her expression on this one. Typical Makenna, haha.
This new (well not that new) little girl of ours is one adventurous little monkey. We aren't quite used to seeing this from our kids so it is all very fun and hilarious to us. Tonight we were in the play room and we were busy putting a puzzle together with Kaylee and we looked over at Makenna and she climbed up onto the art stand and was busy drawing and getting into all the crayons. A few tumbles but she got right back up on there and kept on getting her work done...
(and no, we didn't help her get up on this)
And a shot of her after we caught her red handed...
